ABMS: Board certification now offered in female pelvic medicine and reconstructive surgery

The American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS) has created a new ObGyn subspecialty in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery. Certification will be jointly administered by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG) and the American Board of Urology (ABU).

The Board acknowledges a need for certification in a new ObGyn subspecialty of interest to gynecologists, urologists, and urogynecologists.
