Patient and clinician considerations

Intrauterine contraceptives (IUCs) are a safe, efficacious, and cost-effective form of birth control. Yet, IUC use in the United States is the lowest among developed countries. In this roundtable symposium, leading women’s health care providers provide an evidence-based review of patient misperceptions and offer counseling tips for clinicians.
